The World Around Us: Our Term 2 Outdoor Classroom in Maroubra offers a calm and engaging outdoor experience for toddlers through to preschool-aged children. Children thrive when they feel safe, connected, and supported to explore at their own pace. Our Outdoor Classroom isn’t just a class, it’s a thoughtfully designed learning journey. Across our sessions, children grow familiar with the space, form friendships, and deepen their engagement with play, curiosity, and creativity. Running weekly, these sessions follow a gentle, play-based approach, with themes that connect children to nature, community, and their everyday environment. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, allowing children to explore freely and engage with play at their own pace. Each session includes sensory play, loose parts, creative experiences and opportunities to engage in STEM play. Weekly Themes (Second Half of Term): Week 6: Creatures & Habitats (10 June) Exploring the homes, environments and creatures that live within our natural world through sensory and imaginative play. Week 7: People & Places (17 June) Inspired by communities, transport, homes and the places we visit every day. Week 8: Creative Exploration (24 June) Open-ended art, sensory invitations and creative experiences designed to encourage curiosity and self-expression. Week 9: End of Term Celebration (1 July) A relaxed and playful end of term session featuring some favourite activities and sensory experiences from throughout the term. Location: Arthur Byrne Reserve, Maroubra When: Wednesdays (weekly) Time: 10:00 – 11:30am Booking Options • $30 per child casual session (1 Single Child) • $45 family casual session (Family is 2 or more children participating in the class) *siblings under 12 months are welcome to attend free, just make a note when booking
