Welcome to Curious Little Learners,
By booking or attending any of our sessions, parties, events or workshops, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure the safety, enjoyment and smooth running of our programs for all families.

About Us:

Curious Little Learners is founded and run by Cassandra Dade, a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience in early education and play-based learning.

Insurance: We’re fully insured with current Public Liability and Professional Indemnity coverage. Certificates can be provided upon request.

1. General Information

Curious Little Learners provides mobile, educator-led pop-up classes designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
All sessions are facilitated by a qualified Early Childhood Educator.
Classes focus on child-led, play-based experiences using natural and recycled materials.

2. Supervision and Responsibility

Parents and caregivers must remain responsible for the supervision and safety of their child/children at all times during sessions.
Curious Little Learners is not a drop-off service. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
The participating adult is responsible for ensuring their child engages safely with the environment and materials provided.

3. Safety and Participation

While all activities are designed with care and safety in mind, sessions may include small parts, natural materials, and sensory ingredients that could pose a choking hazard.
Most materials are taste-safe but not intended for eating. Please supervise children closely to prevent ingestion.
Participation in our sessions is at your own risk. Curious Little Learners takes no responsibility for accidental injury or damage to personal belongings.
We encourage comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that can get messy.

4. Bookings and Payments

All bookings must be made through our official booking platform or website.
Full payment is required to secure your booking.
Spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Session details (time, location, and duration) are listed on the booking page and may occasionally change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Each session is prepared in advance, including the purchase of materials and venue booking. For this reason, refunds or replacements for change of mind or illness are not required under Australian Consumer Law and will not be given due to the costs associated with each session.
If you are unable to attend, please notify us in writing at least 24 hours before the session to retain the option to reschedule.
If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, your booking will be forfeited.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. You are welcome to transfer your booking to a friend if you can no longer attend.
Venue changes or cancellations will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram pages by 7am on the day of the session. Please check our social media for updates.

6. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, you will still be charged for the full session duration as scheduled. No extensions or refunds can be provided for missed time.

6. Photography and Media

Photos and videos may be taken during sessions for promotional and social media purposes.
Curious Little Learners will never post identifiable images of children (such as clear face photos) without explicit permission.
Images used for advertising or social media will only feature non-identifiable angles (e.g. backs, hands, side profiles) or group context shots.
If you do not wish your child to be included in any media, please notify the educator before the session begins.

7. Weather Policy

As many sessions are held outdoors, weather conditions are carefully monitored.
Sessions will proceed in light drizzle or mild weather unless deemed unsafe.
In the case of heavy rain, storms, or extreme heat, sessions may be rescheduled or moved to an alternative location.
Families will be notified via email or text as early as possible.

8. Allergies and Medical Conditions

Please advise us at the time of booking if your child has any allergies, medical conditions, or additional needs that may require special consideration.
We do not provide food during sessions, but sensory materials may contain household ingredients (e.g. flour, food colouring, cornflour, oats).
Parents are responsible for managing their child’s exposure to materials based on their known allergies or sensitivities.

9. Liability Waiver

By attending a Curious Little Learners session, you acknowledge and agree that:

You are participating voluntarily and take full responsibility for your child’s supervision and wellbeing.
Curious Little Learners and its educators are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the session.
You have read and understood all safety information provided.

10. Changes to Terms

Curious Little Learners reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most recent version will always be available on our website.

Party & Event Terms and Conditions

At Curious Little Learners, safety, care and fun are at the heart of everything we do. Please take a moment to read through the key details below before booking your child’s party or event.

Booking & Payment

A $100 non-refundable deposit secures your booking, this is due within 7 days of receiving the quote.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event.
Bookings made within 14 days require full payment upfront.
Travel fees may apply for locations 10kms away from Surry Hills and any tolls incurred during travel to and from.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations made more than 14 days before can be rescheduled (subject to availability) - If an agreement on a date can't be made the deposit will be forfeited.
Cancellations made within 14 days are non-refundable due to preparation and materials purchased in advance.
If Curious Little Learners needs to cancel due to illness, or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or credit.

What You Provide

A safe, clear area for set-up (either outdoors or indoors on a flat surface).
Access 45 minutes to an 1hour before and 30 - 45 minutes after for pack-up - This varies on party size, for larger events more time might be needed.
Parent supervision at all times — we bring the fun, but you know your children best!

Safety & Allergies

Activities may include small parts and are designed for fun and exploration only.
Most materials are taste-safe and natural, but not suitable for eating.
Please let us know about allergies or skin sensitivities at the time of booking.

Photos & Privacy

We may take photos or short videos for promotional purposes, but we’ll never show children’s faces without written consent.

Weather

Outdoor events will go ahead in light weather, but in the case of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, we can reschedule or move indoors.

By confirming your booking, you agree to these terms and understand that participation in activities is at your own risk.
