Service Description

Our Term 1 program runs across 8 sessions, with a mid-term break after Week 4 to pause, reflect, and reset. The first two sessions focus on building connection, a sense of belonging, and getting to know the children and their interests. As the term continues, the program evolves in response to the children, allowing learning to unfold naturally rather than following rigid themes. Each session follows a familiar rhythm of a group welcome, extended child-led play, and a closing group time. This consistency supports children to feel safe, confident, and ready to explore. –––––––––––––– SESSION 1: WELCOME & BELONGING A gentle introduction to the term focused on connection, routines, and settling into the space. Children are invited to explore familiar, open-ended materials while building relationships and confidence. SESSION 2: IDENTITY & SELF-EXPRESSION This session supports children to explore who they are through creative play, movement, and sensory experiences, encouraging confidence and self-expression. SESSION 3: EXPLORING MATERIALS Children are invited to investigate a variety of open-ended materials, experimenting with how things feel, move, connect, and change. SESSION 4: PROBLEM-SOLVING & THINKING This session encourages children to think, try, and revisit ideas through building, sorting, and collaborative play experiences. MID-TERM BREAK A planned pause to reset, reflect, and prepare for the next stage of learning. SESSION 5: IMAGINATION & STORYTELLING Open-ended play supports children to create stories, role play, and bring their ideas to life using loose parts, small worlds, and creative materials. SESSION 6: MOVEMENT & THE BODY A focus on physical exploration through large-scale play that builds coordination, confidence, and body awareness. SESSION 7: WORKING TOGETHER Children explore cooperation and shared play through group projects, building together, and negotiating ideas with others. SESSION 8: REFLECTION & CELEBRATION A relaxed session to revisit favourite materials, reflect on the term, and celebrate learning, growth, and connections made throughout the program.
